Harbor Point is a mall at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone that opened on April 26, 2012. It’s located on the north side of Rizal Highway at the freeport zone, between the Magsaysay Gate and the Rizal Gate. Since it opened, the parking areas outside the mall have been packed with vehicles of all kinds and from all the nearby provinces as well as the people of Olongapo City.
Anchor Stores
I have yet to see most of the stores at Harbor Point because many shop areas were still under construction the last time I was in the mall. It’s anchor store is the Puregold supermarket, but there’s another and larger Puregold store in another location, near the area where the Royal Subic supermarket resides. Other stores within the mall include (and there are over 300 stores):
- National Bookstore
- Starbucks
- The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
- Osh Kosh B Gosh
- CD-R King
- Samsung Digital Exchange
- Chowking
- Greenwich
- KFC
- McDonald’s
- Max’s Restaurant
There are many more, too many to list.
The Size
No picture, not even this one, can do it justice:
The mall is huge, larger than many malls I’ve been in, including those in America. Even a panoramic photo wouldn’t accurately portray its size. It features an open air promenade and a river walk behind the building, among other things and it has spacious hallways that walking along can take hours.
It’s a modern mall, with escalators and stairs, but I don’t think it has any elevators and that’s okay because there are only three levels. It has four movie theaters in it (on the third floor). I think SM City Olongapo has only two movie theaters in it (but I’m not sure since I haven’t looked for them specifically).
The Subic Bay Freeport Zone is turning into the prime business district for itself and neighboring Olongapo City. Harbor Point, a mall owned by the Ayala Corporation, anchors the freeport zone as a major shopping district for the entire island of Luzon.

Hi, great blog and nice review about Harbor Point! I really loved being there :)
By the way, I would like to point out that there was an error in your post. There are 4 movie theaters located at the 3rd floor. Check out this photo I took and feel free to add it in your post :)

Yes, I’ve corrected the text. I was in the mall before it was completed and I didn’t see the theaters until after it was completed.
